True. With Aura any kind of crossover between RWBY and something of equipment or suit that requires energy to power it could give them an advantage. Yang can add more power to her weapons with her Aura and if Ruby is wearing armor with features that requires power to be able to use those features she could have her Aura power the armor and use the regular means of power for last or the other way around.

umm no rex's powers don't work like that. yes he has a healing factor because of the nanites but they can't replace whole limbs. yes that can cure him of any poisons and fixing small cuts but thats about it.
