Description
Meant to be the Student ID Photo of Sherlock in the University of Cambridge. He's so shiny and new here! I'll probably use this as a cover for the current fan-fic I'm writing.Corel Painter 12 Chalk Pastel.

woah! You're so good in coloring with the pc! the picture is just really amazing (also looks like a lot of work in the progress video you've sent me ) so i hope to see some more sherlock art from you soon
he really looks much younger here! maybe just at the beginning of his uni years?
heheh, but you're right, he's just so damn beΓ‘utiful (his lips! i love the way you describe them as "Dreamy pillows" hahah
)
oh, yes, i've also seen him with the moustache... not so beutiful though... i believe i'm more of a "beard fan" (if there is something like that ...from the "looks", i believe i would perffer rdj Holmes from the hollywood movie over the sherlock we know and love
, just because he looks so strong and male and everything
but i think/believe that benedict Holmes has the much more interesting character/personality heheh
...even though, both are out of reach
...
)
ah, ok, i think you're right he does actually care a lot about his appereance (even though, i think he has no clothes that won't look great/elegant/beautiful/(some more adjectives to praise his beauty hahah?) on him

Hi Goia! Lol! I work a lot on pastels. I really always have. The way you're amazing (*amazing*) with water-colours, I've always tried to work at chalks. I like the texture and the saturated colour. And blending. He *is* much younger in the Uni pic. It's true. Dreamy pillows. Amen. XD
I'm not much for moustaches. I really dislike beards. Oh, and I love RDJ Sherlock as well, but nothing can hold a candle to Benedict if you ask me. I was just on fire from the first time I saw him act the character. He's so brilliantly quirky. I got done the series and just was like ... "I have to write something". Lol! He's every inspirational.

I dunno what possessed me to pastel his hair like that. I can tell you that when I drew it the first time, I'd been looking at a lot of Gibson Girl artwork. So, in some ways, you'd have to blame Teaque (also on dA) for how excellent his hair looks. Generally, though, Benedict's hair is just grrrrooowl. He's got the kind of hair you want to get your fingers into, no matter the colour.

Hold the phone. 'Even when I saw him recently in London'... doing... what? Dear God. I think you broke my front-brain.... I keep re-reading that line.... Guh.
Fanks for the comment on his hair. It took a lot of work, and, yes, his particular ginger is a kind of flame.

hahahah yes The a pub in central London called the Sherlock Holmes Pub and I was their with a friends and I saw him looking at the replica of Sherlocks study, he was like a excitable kid, clees him.And Ive met him twice when he was in Frankenstein.
Its funny to think he was going to shave his hair for frankenstein and then for third star but wasnt allowed cuz of Sherlock

Oh my goodness.... his head looks a bit too big for his body in that pic, almost like he's... a... hobbit. XD So adorable! Although the fact that he looks somewhat like a kid I know (proportion-wise, especially with the hands) is weirding me out a little.... O.o'

I felt like that when I saw the kid playing Superman in Smalleville. He looks a lot like my childhood best friend (also a guy). I would dearly love to meet someone who looked like Sherlock/Benedict. Such a fun, whimsical, pretty face. I could look look at it all day.
Sherlock would have been in advanced classes for sure!

Haha. That's awesome. One of my best friends looked exactly like Edmund from the [newer] The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Edmund's my favourite character (mostly in the later books), though, so it was okay. But the friend who "looks" like Cumberbatch only looks like him in proportions. His face is nowhere near as cool as Cumberbatch's.

MagicBunni In reply to DNA-The-Authoress [2011-11-26 15:34:17 +0000 UTC]
Oh, come now, Authoress! Let's be fair! Whose face is anywhere near as cool as Benedict's? Having a face that's similar in proportions -- something an artist would notice -- is also cool. I love Benedict's features, which is why I keep drawing him. I just think he's pitilessly handsome. Your other pal looks like Edmund from LW&TW. Holy cow. Lol! That's a healthy bunch o boys you hang around with.

DNA-The-Authoress In reply to MagicBunni [2011-11-27 00:53:10 +0000 UTC]
Haha, yes, that's true.
My friends joke (thought are somewhat serious) that I have no sex drive, which is why I end up hanging out or having classes with good-looking guys. XD I only notice these things because I'm an artist, like you so mention.
I'm addicted to drawing Sherlock's features. Especially those cheekbones! *flails* When I'm done with my art trades and Christmas gifts, I want to draw a portrait of him in charcoal. You can imagine the lovely blacks that I could use and highlight those magnificent features! XD
As far as my friend looking like Edmund, they no long look alike, sadly. They have both grown up, it seems. D: But my friend is still a handsome (more like cute, I suppose) fellow, but he and I have been friends since he was seven and I was ten, so he's more like the little brother I never had rather than a guy I'd be interested in, especially because he's three years younger than I am. Our dads have been best friends since they were in middle school, and now we're second generation childhood best friends. His little sister and my little sister are a year apart and best friends as well, so it's pretty cool.

I would be more than a little insulted if my friends said something like that, actually. That's just so... wow. However, I should say, there's something to be said for those cheekbones, yeah?
I hope you do a charcoal! Maybe you'll be able to do one if you get holidays?
Wow, too. I can't imagine living in one place long enough to be 'second generation childhood best friends'! That must come with heaps of history, right? That's interesting!
Btw, three years younger is nearly nothing.

DNA-The-Authoress In reply to MagicBunni [2011-11-27 17:22:49 +0000 UTC]
haha, it's all good. I don't really get offended that easily, so... yeah.
Oh yes. Cheekbones. Yes, I've got about a month off during winter hols, so hopefully I can get around to it. ;D
Actually, my dad and his friend grew up halfway across the country. They both ended up moving to where I live at completely different times, my dad before I was born and his dad when I was 10. That's how we met. But I've lived in the same general area my whole life. My family prefers to be grounded. But we still do have a lot of history.
I suppose, but I'd really rather not... it'd just be waaaay too awkward for the both of us. XD

MagicBunni In reply to DNA-The-Authoress [2011-11-27 20:22:21 +0000 UTC]
Good thing, Authoress! I bet I'm much more prickly than you! But remember to defend yourself too. That's something that no one else will do for you!
OMG -- WOW -- How in the world did you get *a month off* for Christmas? Oh -- ready to cry. Very happy for you!
Ah! So the way your family is grounded, mine travels. We sort of meet up at halfway points along the way. And, no-no-no, not saying you should try such a thing with a friend. It's definitely not my place (I mean I'm just some writer pounding away -- happily -- on her keyboard)! Plus, I could never have dated my friend. It would have spoiled everything. We both thought the idea was gross, in fact!
But, just telling you that three years diff isn't much diff at all.
People have relationships with larger age diffs than that. Those relationships are legit. It's a big world.
π: 0 β©: 1
DNA-The-Authoress In reply to MagicBunni [2011-11-27 23:49:09 +0000 UTC]
Haha, I will. I suppose people do tend to think I'm someone they can run over because I'm so laid back, but I'll get defensive if my honor (or family/friend's honor) is at stake. Or if they just plain annoy me. XD
I know! It's weird! University is good to us for Christmas vacation. Not so much for other hols. So it's a mix of good and bad. XD
Hmm... interesting. I don't know if I could do that. Maybe...
Oh! Okay. Well, I like writers happily pounding away on their keyboards! They can make for some very nice people! ;D I have another friend that everyone thought I was dating. We were revulsed by the idea! I mean, we're also like sibs. We'd never have it any other way even if we do bicker like an old married couple. XD
Yeah, I know that 3 years isn't much. I know a couple who are 18 years apart and have a great relationship after I don't know how many years of marriage.
π: 0 β©: 1
MagicBunni In reply to DNA-The-Authoress [2011-11-28 21:11:33 +0000 UTC]
Oh, you know, I'm pretty laid back too, come to think of it. I wonder if people feel the same way about me? I'm glad that you can get your back up, though. I liked: "Or if they just plain annoy me". Lol! That's very Sherlockian of you!
My Uni was good about vacations in summer and winter, really. But I'm from an easygoing culture, really. Odd for me, as I turned out really hard-driving and ambitious. But I'm glad for to hear you're going into this long, relaxing vacation. Ahem. Maybe... you could read some... I dunno... Sherlock fan-fics? (Did I mention I was shameless?)
Yes, that's my top ambition -- to be known as a good writer pounding away on my keyboard. I wouldn't want anyone thinking Oh, she's a b*tch. I try to make people feel entertained and happy. And I like to encourage people too.
OH -- when I read "I have another friend that everyone thought I was dating. We were revulsed by the idea!" That was me and my best friend, right there. Now, neither one of us was bad looking, and, he was *really* good looking (I mean, lovely hair and skin, big green eyes) but we'd look at each other and sneer and go 'Holy cr@p - that's just gross', and then laugh. We were like kin, which, I think, is the same as you saying 'sibs'.
Wow on the 18 years. Man, sometimes those attachments that look strange from the outside, are perfect internally, yeah?
π: 0 β©: 1
DNA-The-Authoress In reply to MagicBunni [2011-11-28 22:37:23 +0000 UTC]
Laid back people rule... from their lawn chairs. Or Lazyboys. XD Haha, yes, I suppose that comment was very Sherlockian. XD I'm more of a Watson (though I have been told by one or two dA users that they think I'm most like Sherlock).
I'm from a rather easy-going culture, too. I'm rather lazy, but I'm also a perfectionist, which really clashes sometimes. XD Yesterday I came to the sudden realization that I'm thoroughly sick of school and am ready for vacation. XP You write fan fics? Where do you have them posted? (Speaking of shameless, have I told you where to find my own Sherlock fan fics?)
Whoot! ^-^ Same with me. I want entertained, happy readers who believe that I really am a nice person despite what my characters may or may not go through. XD
My friend isn't the most handsome guy on the planet, but he does have incredibly blue eyes that sparkle. Legitly. It's kind of crazy. XD He also has a rather nice singing voice. But yeah, he's like my brother. We even kind of look alike. Same with my other "little brother"/best friend. He's got the same shade of brown hair as I do, but blue eyes as well. Why do I make friends with brunettes who have pretty blue eyes? XD
Yeah. They're awesome.
