l like how you changed the eye colour. The purple Was a really nice colour, but the blue just makes them pop. Fantastic work! And I really love to look at the progress of the finished piece.

I downloaded the psd file out of curiosity. The way you just add layers as you go was probably just the right thing for me to "see in action". Because I can't work on a single layer and neither can I work when I strictly separate skin from hair, eyeballs, clothing etc. It just ends up to be a big patchwork mess where all the parts kind of belong together, but in fact they don't *sigh*
Your steps are very helpful, not to mention that your work is truly inspiring!!! Thank you!

yeah, you need to find the way to work, with which you are most comfortable. The only thing I try to leave on separate layers in hair (maybe thats why I always end up messing it up >_> ) , but either way, at least for a face, its easier to blend the colors in this way

Big canvas is something I didn't learn until a bit later. Now if I attempt something the canvas is at least like 4500x3500, but I still usually dont finish it XD;

9k? I'd try that if I had a tablet to work with, and twice the spare time, haha. Sounds like it takes a lot of time, not to mention layers and colors xD
I mostly blame it on things coming up or general laziness though.
