Yeah... I'm really into this game and it's lore. After the newest DLC "The Grimm Troupe", i really wanted to do something with all the new information.I would've loved to visit the nightmare realm as a completely new area, but that would've probably been a bit too much to ask. However, to compensate for that, I designed my own enemies, as well as a bit of fan lore. Now don't expect too much from those lore bits, I'm not really good at coming up with my own stories, theories etc, there's just too many possibilities to choose from. I want to apologize in advance for any potential spelling or grammar mistakes, though I believe all should be fine. And as you can see by the title, that's not all of them. But anyway, I hope some of you will like this!

Very, very nice concept! I like it so much! You have a creative mind. Nightmare realm and it's structure interesting to me too, and I would be glad to explore that nightmarish world. And I really like how you did that work. You must be part of Team Cherry, seriously.

How exactly did the Wraith Twisters get in the Nightmare realm? What was the Price they payed? And what's the Nightmare heart?

Getting thrown into the Nightmare Realm WAS the price they paid for meddling with such ancient and powerful magic.
I imagine that the Nightmare Realm could kinda act as a hell-like limbo.
Also: "Trying to cheat even the divine" plays a big part in them getting thrown into the Nightmare Realm as well
And about the Nightmare Heart: It's that beating thing you see in the background while fighting Nightmare King Grimm, and it's the "source" of the Grimm-Troupe. When you talk to the White Lady with the Grimmchild Charm on she gives you new dialouge, one particular thing she says is that the "Master" and the entire "troupe" are one and the same. Grimm and the Grimmkin are kinda like "vessels" for the Nightmare Heart's power.

These designs could fit perfectly in the game! The enemies really give the nightmarish feel and with the whole presentation (which is pretty awesome too) I can imagine how it would be the nightmare realm...It totally gives a creepy feel, like Deepnest or a bit the Royal Waterways but better, the ambience could be simply terrifying with a suitable soundtrack...That's so great!

Hey, these are great! You've matched the style of the game really well, and they are creepy creatures in their own right too. Nice write-ups from the Seer as well.
I think having a Nightmare Realm zone as part of a DLC/campaign is a great idea, I'd love it if we got to explore the lore behind Grimm Troupe more.

Okay, all of your Hollow Knight enemies so far have been great, but someone seriously needs to show this set to Team Cherry. These are absolutely fantastic and the style is so similar to HK's that if I didn't know better I'd have assumed they were official. So this is just the first part? Can't wait for the next set!

Oh man, drawing these characters and enemies is one thing (the artstyle is pretty simple, really)
But Landscapes, like the ones in the game (or in general) are really difficult to make authentic...
I've never really done anything like that before, but I mean, sure I could try with what I have (Gimp and a drawing tablet, with which I'm really not that good)
Don't expect too much though xD

Yeah, I'm quite happy with all of them. I wasn't sure at first with Wraith Twister, but after a few adjustments I came to like it.
As for Wallopede, dang did I have trouble with him. I had something in mind for a centipede,
but I just couldn't come up with a fitting head design... and I'm still not completely satisfied with it, but it'll do ^.^
