Mediums: Colored Pencil and Gel Pens------------------------
Q) ~Wild-Aegis 'How long did it take to do that with only pencil crayons and gel pens?!'
A) The sketch has been laying around in my notebook for about a year but I've dedicated many hours over the course of of three days when I finally decided to color it. The image is about 12 x 5.5 inches.

Description
This drawing is an older drawing that shows a peacock at night. He is sitting on a branch above flowers. There is a flower to his right.
Analyze:
The colored drawing shows a good contrast between the light blues of the peacock and the dark blue of the sky. Space is created having the peacock in the foreground and the stars in the back of the drawing.
Different color values of blue, greens, and oranges are used. Having thick strokes of green and various shades of blue gives texture to the peacock. This drawing shows a realistic scene.
Interpret
I think that this shows a peacock in the midst of spring. The flowers are almost fully bloomed. There is one that is not, but it looks like it will soon. These are night flowers. The peacock is roasting on a branch high above the person viewing him. The stars are above and below him.
Judgment
I like this piece. It uses shading of different colors to create textures on the bird and the flowers. The dark sky and stars show that it is night.

Even though you made this one a while ago, it stands out a lot with the contrast! Plus only being made with colored pencils and gel pens, amazing!

That is some nice naive art you've got going there. Rich colors. Always nice to see work in color pencil as well.

Wow,
Very pretty. In particular, I love the nuanced coloring you used on the peacock. The composition was interesting too. Love how the flowers "advance" to the foreground. Thanks for sharing this work!

I'm sure you know this already, (0r at least, you;d better...) but this is magnificent.
The authenticity of the shading, the color choice, the subject choice in general, your shapes, the way everything seems to glow...
it's all magnificent!!
Lovely lovely work!!

This is Piposka, a hen we brought up home after her mother was killed by a car. She's very sociable and she loves people. I have also some photos of Vincin, the cock, but not yet on dA. He's also that beautiful and has the same stern expression in his eyes.
