Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me. Can you make a video tutorial and show you step by step how to do it, please?

Do you know what they are? I've been having to use the lineart curve tool and pressure tool. But it doesn't give that same look

Wonderful tutorial! But I have question about the shadows. You paint them on the other layer and then set opacity/multiply/overlay/sth? or just paint on the layer with similar-darker colour? And another question do tou use brush or mixed brush? ^^.

Matthiaos [2015-01-13 18:28:42 +0000 UTC]

you use pen to remove the excess line? or you just brush it up?

Wo this helps a lot... I noticed that the lines I was using for the face were a bit too bold and idk how to make it kind of "natural"? BUTTTT NOW IK :3

minkiososa [2015-01-12 12:35:50 +0000 UTC]

I'm so happy i found this because I kinda tried to have the same effect by using the layer lock and other things...still never got it just right, plus i had never thought if dividing the lineart and used to use it as a top layer on multiply (think of the oldest tutorial for ps and never changing technique over years)...having regularly to redraw the lineart in another layer
I was stupid but now this will help me do it better, thanks a lot ♥

hoshvi [2015-01-10 20:21:51 +0000 UTC]

is there a way to do this in paint tool sai? im a bit confused on how to make the base skin layer..

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

Nachtwat [2015-01-06 01:25:47 +0000 UTC]

Can this be applied to other parts of the body besides the skin like hair and clothes? Because when I try to clip the lineart, the bases underneath changes what gets cut in such as if the hair base is above the skin base. Does this mean I have to separate the lineart into individual pieces like the eyes in order to blend everything in?

magion02 In reply to Nachtwat [2015-01-06 02:29:58 +0000 UTC]

Yes! It's a good practice at first You may start with more layers but once you get used to what you re doing , you may start doing with less layers.
