Description
Learn How to color in Anime-style Digitally. PART I.Without requiring the use of pen tablet! (Yay for mouse users).
Part II - [link]
Part III - [link]
The tutorial is base on my process when making an anime-style artwork.
This tutorial can serve as your stepping stone toward your goal.
p.s.
Actually this was suppose to be done earlier but, the first one which was
80% done got corrupted due to black out . No back up at all.
Lost all the file, I was really depress, but i decided not to give up and
went for another go, I tried to make it much more better than before
(and it did) and really took my time to explain and demonstrate each part
and what i think of what is essential especially for beginners.
Anyway, my advice is learn by trying! There are samples in this tutorial
that you can follow and you will understand how this certain tool works
by trying.

You are welcome, dont worry, keep on working on it, and dont have to follow exactly and can mix in your artistic sense into it, take this just as a stepping stone.
Goodluck!

Thank you so much, but I have a question. Does this also work with pixelated images? Kind'a like a "sprite". No, not the drink, I mean the form of art that's often used in indie games (I think). Or do I need to manually color the thing?

Welcome! For now what i can say is there are parts the tutorial can help, probably avoid the pen tool
Β and use pencil tool and fill each pixel manually for consistency/accuracy

is there no other way to color like that other than redrawing the whole art? i want to color manga panels I usually use multiply in gimp and the end product never looks like anime......

I have a question how do you get the pen tool to line up proportionately to the sketch lines? I'm using the pen tool and everytime I use it I can't delete the anchor points or line them up against the sketch lines
