Hi guys, here we have the start of the venture into Bolt Action and Konflikt 47 done by Warlord Games. My dad and I are super into anything relating to WW2 and after playing some Flames of War last year we were interested in finding another system to try out and we found a decent starter set for Bolt Action which was the Band of Brothers starter set where you get 12 panzer grenadiers with a half track and 24 american airborne along with the core rulebook, order dice and some terrain pices with pin markers which I plan on replacing with some red D10's as that'll be way more convenient as the pin markers are really meh plus the D6's are dice I already had. I went with playing as the German faction and my dad went with playing as the Soviet Union as we looked at what every force had to offer in both Bolt Action and Konflikt 47. In terms of both forces shown, my germans consist of a officer with an assault rifle, medic, a group of five veteran grenadiers with assault rifles with the other five having rifles and two mg42's and as for armored carrier I didn't glue the forward facing weapon so I can change between the 251/1 and the 251/10. As for my the start of my dads starting forces I was able to get a lot more creative, for his army we have an officer with a body guard armed with submachine guns, a squad of nine veteran soldiers with submachine guns, a squad of seven armed with rifles, a three man medium machine gun support unit and a two man sniper unit with dad having the option to switch between the latter two.

We already know what we want to add to our armies and expand them, but what we can't wait to get into is the stuff in the weird war game Konflikt 47 as well because then we'll gain access to walkers, power armor and other science fiction stuff. What we really like about this game is the unit dice system as it helps keep it a guessing game and to keep it balanced. The best part is that the game is actually pretty easy to learn and very easy to create a collection with various force organization charts for various scenarios, so there is a ton of variation.
