"Leviathan" means "coiled, or entwined" in Hebrew.
She is often described as gargantuan, with many limbs, thick hide, bright eyes, a sea-serpent-dragon-like entity, and capable of breathing fire.
In Enoch, and possibly Revelation, she was once a half of a whole with Behemoth. God was only able to defeat them by separating them and casting her into the abyss and Behemoth to wander Earth.
Leviathan is described as near invincible, God was one of the few to do damage to her, including tearing out most of her torso.
Many Jewish commentaries say the whale that ate Jonah was Leviathan, so I've made a large, Sumerian-like palace in her stomach cavity.
Only the most privileged would be allowed in her otherworldly palace. But many would know what it looks like through encouraging filming and pictures, all to make others envious.
Fun Tidbit: Leviathan is kosher, because the Talmud says that Leviathan's flesh will be served to the righteous on Judgment Day.
In most Judaic texts, Leviathan predates God, as the primordial world-serpent of chaos that God defeated in order to bring Order to the world (like many other god vs. world serpents in other mythologies). She would be the only entity that can rival God.
In early Christian theology, Envy was the most severe sin, greater than Pride. This fits with her primordial origins, Leviathan of Envy being greater than Lucifer of Pride.
Starting with Thomas Aquinas, Pride became the greater sin. "while Envy is the "root" of all sins, Pride is the "beginning" of it all" (the seed vs the root).
Leviathan would be nearly as big as the Ring itself. She swims around frustrated like a shark in too small a tank. She can shrink herself, but she's far too Proud.
She keeps her palace within the cavity of her chest. It's designed with otherworldly gems and decor, with eldritch horrors and beauties and fashions in it. It would not be like any other place in Hell because she predates it.
She has a smaller form originating from her angler. This form is for governing and making sure everyone is jealous and envious of her eldritch splendor, she feeds off of other's envy, jealousy, adoration, and hatred.
Her smaller form and the palace are designed after Sumerian styles because of how old Leviathan is.
Leviathan would be just as if not more powerful than Lucifer. She predates him and God, and would have inhabited the abyss which would later become the Ring of Envy in Hell. When Lucifer fell, he would've met her in the abyss and made a deal: work together to build their armies and kingdom to eventually storm Heaven again. Leviathan would share her ancient knowledge and powers to help Lucifer build Hell.
As Pride and Envy are closely entwined, their relationship would be both complimentary and a brutal rivalry. While Leviathan is subservient, she's allowed to govern her isolated ring however she wants. Lucifer would keep close watch on her, as she is one of the few who could defeat him if she wanted.
