The light catching the tops of all those people's heads makes each one an individual, and really sets this apart as a great piece of photojournalism, rather than a good news shot, I think

Wow. Here in Chile, we had a dictatorship that lasted 16 years. I still remember the joy of the people when it finished, by the people and for the people, by democratic means.
Congratulations to the Egyptian people: "el pueblo, unido, jamรกs serรก vencido" (People, united, will be never defeated).

Amazing. Just amazing.
I'm over here in my little bubble of a world; I don't watch tv, I don't read the news, and my friends are more concerned with talking about midterms than current events. I had heard some news about the Egyptian revolution, but not very much. Honestly, I felt so far removed that it seemed like just another piece of news to me.
But your picture instantly changed my perspective. You captured such incredible energy and emotion. Even though I'm still miles away living in my bubble, I somehow feel so much closer and more connected than before. I feel that I have a deeper sense of the impact of the revolution, not just on the country as a whole, but also on the lives of each individual.
This photograph has changed my perception and helped me see beyond my own little world. For this, I cannot thank you enough.

Thank you very much Sarah, your words make me so happy, this is what any photographer or artist wish and dream about... to change the perspective of someone through his art and make a difference ... I hope you will expand the borders of your little world a bit and keep a window there to peak at the other side every now and then

Whilst I enjoy their battle for freedom and that they found success, they killed an american reporter and raped another one in a rampage, many have died. Its quite tragic.

An excellent photo among many others of this revolution I've seen. I can only hope the military, now in command (it's said in the US) are "listening, hearing" the people and not Mubarak or his followers. Congratulations on the DD. It's deserved.

The military are doing well so far and listening carefully, and mr. mubarak is out of the country and most of his men are interrogated and will be put to trial

Old Mexican saying:
Matan a la perra, pero quedan los perritos.
They can kill the mother dog, but her puppies remain.
I hate to be so negative, but the struggle will be far from over when and if Mubarak is expelled.
