Do you use the pen tool for lines or brush so that you get the various thickness...pressure via a pen/tablet rather than mouse?

I use the pen tool. I know the brush tool is possible and I have a small graphics tablet, but I have yet to really try to get the tablet working smoothly with AI (drawing with it seems to go better in Flash and Painter - not as well in Illustrator and Photoshop).
It's more work - but I guess I'm pen-centric.
Basically I follow the routine that Hawk uses here: [link]
The biggest difference is that I've been getting away from using black for the "ink" color and so far I like the results.
