lXlCaptJoe23 strikes for the eighth time now with a new point commission, and he picked out a really cool fight scene for me to illustrate! He went with SpongeBob ScurvyPants performing Liu Kang’s Bicycle Kick from Mortal Kombat on Captain Shadow in a 2D fighting game sequence taking place on Toilet Bay Water Port from the Rayman DLC for Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope (or at least right in front of it, as I could only make a 2D fight scene work on a boat dock with the image he gave me). This is a really funny image to me as it’s a usually happy go-lucky character like SpongeBob landing an angry hit on a dark anti-hero kind of character like Shadow! XD This is, so far, my second of two times now having made a SpongeBob & Sonic crossover, after drawing Eggman and Plank-Ton for DarkKyle2000 last Summer.

SpongeBob SquarePants is owned by Paramount and Nickelodeon.
Sonic the Hedgehog is owned by Sega and Sonic Team.
