Well look what the cat dragged in this ti- *gets clawed in the face* Ouch! That hurt! What, am I not allowed to make purr-fectly bad pun- *gets clawed again* Ow! Okay, okay, I’ll stop! Man, I’m gonna need a lot of bandages for all of the scratches on my face... anyway, where was I? Oh, yeah, the new drawing I have today!

As you can see, I had the fun idea last week of drawing Sonic laying on grass with a bunch of cat characters around him! One of them also being part of his titular series, that being Blaze the Cat, of course! And Gumball Watterson from The Amazing World of Gumball is back in my Sonic crossover drawing series! Horray! The last time I ever did a Sonic and Gumball crossover before this was Tails and Darwin last July. The last time I did a Sonic and Gumball crossover before this with the title characters (from earlier that same month), that was True Blue Trio (co-starring hedgehog-cat hybrid Star Starlight from my Deviant Art original story, Starlights).

And would you look at that, I also brought in Mae Borowski from Night in the Woods! Given that it is still one of my most favorite games to this day for how much it changed my life for the better and helped me out of a pretty dark place I was in at the time I played it on my Nintendo Switch, of course I’d include her as one of the cats here as well! Also helps that I previously drew Mae as part of a crossover with Gumball! (In a drawing that is still so far my biggest case of unfortunate timing, having already been completed and ready to be released just before I heard about game creator Alec Holowka committing suicide after sexual assault allegations thrown at him by a psychopath with an entire history of making sexual assault allegations with no real evidence to back any of them up)

But to see either of these three properties paired up with Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat, marking this as the very first time I have ever done fanart for a PBS show, that’s the real eye-catcher here! Because yeah, I remember watching Sagwa on PBS Kids when I was a lot younger, and I remember liking it just fine alongside quite a bit of its PBS Kids contemporaries of the time like Sesame Street, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Thomas the Tank Engine (which I will be giving a crossover with my Deviant Art original story, Starlights, by the way), Arthur, Liberty’s Kids, The Magic School Bus, Zoboomafoo, Reading Rainbow, and Dragon Tales. So, why not give drawing Sagwa a try, and in a setting like this no less? Basically like last month with the previously mentioned Mae and Gumball drawing, and also like last June when I crossed Sonic over with the Nick Jr. series Becca’s Bunch, which I had previously announced an upcoming follow-up to in the description for my drawing of Blue and Periwinkle from Blue’s Clues.

So yeah, a hedgehog and four cats enjoying being together at a hill! How could I possibly resist a cute little concept like that one, especially with characters as fun to draw as these girls and boys right here? Plus, in all four of these fandoms (most notably the Gumball fandom) here on Deviant Art, I happen to know a certain long-haired lioness who’d probably love to see me doing this, especially after seeing my previous Night in the Woods and Gumball crossover! And to her, I say you’re welcome!
