Yeh, I didn't want to draw everything perfectly as to what I see on the reference picture. Instead I wanted to add my own way. I find drawing everything perfectly to reality isn't necessary. It's funny how in Art, it's the incompleteness that makes a piece complete. Not even sure if that makes sense to everyone, but hopefully that does to you.

Ah yes, I know what you mean by the upper lip. Originally I tried to fix that to make it more detailed, but the original didn't have much. Thanks for pointing it out. Though I decided to just leave it since it wasn't really that noticeable, and it was part of my style to not make things too realistic, but realistic enough. XD

I loved that you incorporated his bandanna into "ink" splatters. It's like he's wearing a manifestation of ink around his neck. Or like he's bleeding black.

I wanted to aim for a new style in that I shouldn't make things too smooth but at the same time smooth enough to tell it's a painting. So yeh, I was aiming for a painting quality. XD Thanks. Your wording was fine.
