"The Force is all things and I am the Force"

- Cordin Librax, on realising that Light and Darkness cannot exist without each other

Here is my Star Wars OC, Cordin Librax - derived from the latin words for 'Heart' and 'Balance'.

Backstory:

General Librax use to be part of the Jedi Order, even as a Padawan he showed skill with basic force abilities and the lightsaber. At that time he looked up to Master Windu, Master Dooku and the Grand Master Yoda as role models. As a Padawan and training Jedi student, there was a time he used to obey and upheld all Jedi codes without question.

In the original universe he was present when Order 66 was executed and he was subsequently gunned down. In the alternate universe, just when he was about to be gunned down by the clone troopers, he was saved by a mysterious warrior wielding a Key-shaped sword.

Cordin went into hiding for many years thereafter on an unknown planet, working on the field as a farm boy to avoid being hunted down by Lord Vadar and the empire. During this time he built himself a new Light Saber which was based partly in design upon the Key-shaped sword of the person who saved his life. He subsequently then cut himself off from the force.

Over the course of the many years thereafter, he developed an ability called 'Force Dream' (able to open Dream Portals) despite cutting himself off from the force, an ability he was not able to control at first. Through this ability, he was able to manifest within the realm of Dreams without being detected by other force users such as Darth Sidious/Emperor Palpatine or Darth Vadar. Here he was granted the time to study the Sith and the those who walked the path of both light and Darkness.

It was during this time he began to realise that the universe is not all 'black and white' like the Jedi had taught him in the bygone days. He found that like the Jedi Code - there were some Sith concepts which were flawed, but there were others which made sense and were part of the human conditioning. But what intrigued him the most was the irony within the Jedi Order - by labelling themselves as light and their enemies as those on the dark side of the force - the Jedi, too were thinking in absolutes; they Jedi were committing the very same crime as their eternal enemies.

He would later discard the title of a Jedi Master, and take on the role closest to that of the 'Gray Jedi'. Neither serving the Force, or bending it to his will. He would simply observe. For that is the role he believed the Force had tasked him with.

Whilst in the Realm of Dreams, he would be seduced by forces of both Darkness and Light - he would join neither cause for he was not tempted by either side. Neither light nor dark - but a balance.

Unique Lightsaber:

Cordin's Original Lightsaber was Blue in color. But it was damaged during his situation in Order 66. His new unnamed Lightsaber (modelled partly after the Keyblade) initially had a Purple blade.

After receiving an Adamantite Gem from a friend in the Realm of Dreams, he would use the stone to power his new Lightsaber alongside his Kyber crystal. The Adamantite crystal is able to augment the Kyber crystal, enabling the Kyber crystal to morph and take on different forms. This produced a Lightsaber capable of exhibiting a blade with 2 interchangeable colours - purple or Yellow/Orange.

He was told 'just as light can be split into the colours of the rainbow' so would someday the Adamantite gem enable him to be able to manifest any colours for his blade should his skill with the gem increases.

The red blade would be the hardest to obtain as he would have to somehow bleed his Kyber Crystal without falling into Darkness, but the Adamantite might have a role for temporarily granting him a red blade....not that he actually needed a red blade.

In addition, he found he was able to imbue his Lightsaber with the elements - Force-Firaga, Force-Thundaga and Force-Blizzaga.
