I'M REALLY FEELING IT!!NOW IS KEYBLADE TIME!!
YOU WILL KNOW THE PAIN AND SUFFERING YOU CAUSED THE EMPEROR AND FIORAA!!
I started this keyblade a very very long time ago. In fact a preview is viewable on my youtube channel in one of the 'how to model a Keyblade' videos which went up earlier this year (this Keyblade was modelled last year....I am horrible when it comes to procrastination).
However you will find that my old design has been updated mainly because I now know more about the Monado and the universe of Xenoblade Chronicles thanks to watching the playthroughs on youtube. (I don't have a Wii) I do however have Super Smash Brothers for 3DS and I had bought Shulk's character a while back - Shulk is an awesome character to play as especially when he goes Armourless mode lmfao (although I like playing as Bayonetta and Cloud more...sorry Shulk)
Xenoblade is a lovely series and I took a liking to Shulk's character immediately - reminds me a lot of the old Sora from KH. I then knew I had to make a Monado-based Keyblade. In fact the keyblade and the Monado are very similar weapons.
When I finally decide to import this into MMD, I'm hoping to make sliders to 'open' up the blade and a blade of light will extend out. I'm also thinking of making sliders to change the characters inside the circle thingy. (The only symbols that appear will probably be KH based unfortunately....as this is a Keyblade and not a true Monado and thus Keyblades can not replicate the power of the blade of a God)
I can't wait to pose this keyblade with an armourless Kingdom Hearts character, oh no that didn't come out right...>.>

As a joke, a friend of mine once misheard Dunban and thought he was called 'Dumb Man' lmfao (I don't blame him though bwahahaha)

Okay, this is amazing. The only complaints I can REALLY say are that I wish the Keyblade was something else (but even then, there's not much else it COULD be) and that a symbol was in the hole in the Monado (which I imagine is hard if not impossible in the program you used.)

I can see how they are similar. Both legendary blades that are designed specifically for killing these creatures that are practically immune to other forms of attack, and have abilities to assist the wielder's allies too.

If you liked Monolith Soft's Xenoblade, you could try checking out it's spiritual predecessors, Xenosaga and Xenogears as well. They're both incomplete (company lost funding to complete the series) and require the person to actually be intelligent to follow the story line, but Xenosaga especially is one of my favourite games. You may recall, the person I pestered you about possibly doing hair for was from Xenosaga. You can watch all three Xenosaga games on youtube, and at least most of Xenogears, though I tend to just play that one on an emulator (it's an old PS1 game, came out the same time as FF7)
Anyway, enough shameless plugs for the game (I just want someone to talk to *cries*) The blade is looking good so far, even before glancing at the title I recognized what it was meant to be. And I like how you mixed all three Monado together to make it, not just the main one from the title screen. And I like the trinity symbol as the keychain (Yay Alvis!) Will you offer sliders that let you put different characters on the blade, or not? Or do you not know what I'm talking about because you've not actually played the game and only watched walkthroughs? Though I'm pretty sure they talked about it in cutscenes, when Shulk had to fight the giant bug to save Reyn...
Anyway, again! this is probably one of the very few fanmade keyblades that I'll actually be interested in downloading, so please keep up the good work and and I look forward to seeing it's completed form.
PS: though his voice is kinda annoying in large doses, Riki is seriously the powerhouse character of the game, if you ever get a chance to play. He's got offense, he's got defense, he's got healing, and he's got a load of status effect inducing attacks. Stick him with Sharla for range to call down airborne enemies and anyone else for the third slot and you have a nearly unbeatable team. It honestly got to the point not long after getting him that I just stopped playing as Shulk or anyone else at all for anything besides raising affinity. He's the game breaker, and all you have to do is turn the volume off on the TV... Also it's awesome that he's like a 40 year old dad and treats all the cast almost like more of his children.

Actually the reason why I only got into Xenoblade Chronicles specifically was because Yoko Shimomura was part of the music composing team, Shimomura is my musical inspiration - she's also the composer behind Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts and the Mana Series. I just wanted to hear another side to her video game music hence why I got into Xenoblade Chronicles.
What I didn't anticipate was how much I'd get stuck into this one particular game lol. With that said I haven't finished watching the playthrough yet, in fact I'm up to the part where they visit Mechonis Village.Sso I'm not sure if the triangle thingy is a spoiler or not. A friend of mine told me to use the triangle symbol on Alvis's coat for the charm. As for the Keyblade design - I googled the Monado designs and fused them bwahaha - I've only seen the Red Monado so far, I haven't seen the others in game yet :/

The triangle will make sense at the VERY end of the game. As in, after the final boss is beaten. There's HUGE spoilers revolving around it and the identity of Alvis and why he's randomly able to use the Monado, but I won't spoil it for you if you haven't gotten that far. But if you love the storyline of Xenoblade, I definitely suggest checking out the rest of Monolith Soft's works, especially the rest of the Xenoseries. After all, all three of the Xenoseries storylines were written by the same man, and he apparently really cracked the whip on the composers to put out music that was exactly perfect for his story. His wife was the main character designer for at least the first two Xeno games, I can't recall if she had a hand in blade as well.
