Description Leedsichthys problematicus is a species of gigantic, filter-feeding Pachycormid fish hailing from the mid-Jurassic waters of England, 165-152 million years ago. With a length of 16 to 16.5 meters or 52 to 54 feet long, this massive plankton-eater was the largest bony fish ever to have lived, and because of its size, it probably had few predators to face in its open-ocean habitat, apart from some very large pliosaurs or teleosuchids.
