DmC was a flop. There will never thankfully be a sequel. Ninja Theory spat in the face of the dedicated fans, and got what they deserved, sales that never met Capcom's expectations even when they lowered them multiple times.
The reimaginings of Mundus and both Dante and Vergil were absolutely horrible compared to the predecessors, and I can only be disgusted at how you can take a liking to this savage rape of what was once art.
It's win/win situation. Either there will never be a sequel, or Capcom will make a true DMC sequel, instead of this festering, putrid cancer that was DmC.

I know your venom is old & I heard enough of spew like yours back when the game hadn't even been released yet but how sad an individual you must be to have to spread your crap on here. Go to one of your hate sites and blow your shit there, Nobody over here seems to care and if anything, since your whiny tirade, the game has gained popularity. And you know why? Despite what you and a few little haters say, it's a Great game & Your loss. Totally. The old ones are still around, have fun with those.

You know, it's not respectful commenting under a deviation saying how much DmC sucks for you. DmC was AWESOME for many people, so why do you have to even bother and waste your precious time writing this under a deviation? You don't like DmC, fine.
We like it, it's our opinion.
Just like we accept that many of the old fans didn't even want to try the reboot or simply didn't enjoy it (matter of tastes), you should at least do the same with us.
And yeah, the game didn't flop. Even if the game didn't sell as much as Capcom wanted, doesn't mean that it sell badly. The game even got a high score.

Ya know it's people like you that don't deserve the option to comment on anything! DmC DID NOT flop. The original series and the reboot are fantastic games so stop giving this game a bad name.
Both sides of the fandom need to calm the hell down. This was a reboot; not to replace the others. So, calm yourself!

Lower skill ceiling. Stupid enemy AI. 30 frames/second. No hard lock on option. 2 Dedicated dodge buttons. Less moves per weapon. Broken Demon Dodge. Style ranking system is based on damage, not style. Writing is poor (arguable). Graphics are worse than DMC4. No turbo mode. Color coded enemies. Game is more linear. Enemy step has less execution and timing requirement. "Not in a million years" Spit in the face of the fans, yet there was a vanilla dante DLC right after.
