Description Here is another made-up Pokémon. Not exactly "legendary," it is intended to be notably rare, as well as fairly difficult to catch.

----------

Leppicorn
Elusive Pokemon
(Fighting/Psychic)

This is an exceedingly rare Pokémon, so much so that oftentimes it's believed to not exist. For many years people told tales of their encounters with the creature, though they could never catch it due to its intellect and trickery.

Leppicorn often appears very lax, showing little initiative even when encountered by an opponent, even yawning. When battled, however, it become very aggressive, sometimes to the point of being downright vicious. Leppicorn is very intelligent and uses its agility and trickery to gain the upper hand. In reality it's very confident and proud of its fighting talents, and makes itself obscure so that it can find a good challenge.

But its skills are very deceptive as well. Looking like just a mere fighting critter, you'd never guess that it bears a sixth sense. Not only has this been useful for predicting an opponent's attacks, it can actually use telepathy and mental force as attacks. Some stories say that Leppicorn's hair may actually be hiding three eyes.

Despite not being a proper legendary Pokémon, Leppicorn are very difficult to catch in Pokéballs, often able to break out easily. It's said that when Leppicorn is caught, it becomes very impressed with the trainer, to the point of unfaltering loyalty and admiration.

Interestingly, Lucario appears uneasy when in the presence of Leppicorn, though no one is sure exactly why.

----------

Obviously, Leppicorn's design is based around the mythical "Jackalope." I figured if there are creatures based on Eastern mythical beasts (tengu, kitsune, kappa, shisa/xiezhi), we should probably shoehorn a Western one somewhere in there. Plus, jackalopes are AWESOME.

Leppicorn's name was very difficult to come up with. It ended up fusing the Hare genus (lepus) with "Capricorn." Also, Leppicorn has the added benefit of sounding like "Leprechaun," the Irish sprite who is also notably quite elusive and tricky, so it just *works.* :3

Along with the horns and long hair, it has fur that makes the appearance of a waistcoat, as a very slight nod to the famed "White Rabbit." There are female Leppicorns, but their appearance differs slightly; the horns are significantly smaller, and the "waistcoat" fur is slightly longer.

In terms of skills, Leppicorn bears a signature Fighting-type move called "Juggle Punch." Its accuracy is only about 50%, but if it manages to connect it sends the target skyward (assumedly stunned), and Leppicorn then immediately initiates another move at random from its selections. This of course includes Juggle Punch, so in theory it's *possible* to see a small string of Juggle Punch hits before another move is used, but the relatively low accuracy makes this feat difficult to pull off. Keep in mind, moves performed through Juggle Punch combinations still take away from their respective PP. Juggle Punch itself is fairly damaging, at around 100 power.

Other moves it may learn may include:

Aura Sphere
Counter
Cross Chop
Detect
Drain Punch
Faint Attack
Kinesis
Magic Coat
Megahorn
Night Daze
Psychic
Psycho Boost
Shadow Ball
Shadow Punch
Zen Headbutt

...among other things.

There are two possible abilities for Leppicorn to have. One is "Lucky Foot," which raises the accuracy of its moves each time it evades a target's attack, a trait handy for the aforementioned Juggle Punch. The other is "Vengeance," where its Attack stat is raised based on how low its HP is.

Please don't take this, I really like how this turned out.

If this is a male, it should fall for the attraction of a female Lopunny. It looks so much like a gentleman that it wouldn't have the heart to use his fighting moves on a female Lopunny. That would his weakness.

Heh. Leppicorn only *looks* like a gentleman. He's not really that classy. X3

But as mentioned, there are both male and female Leppicorn. Interestingly, the only creatures they're able to breed with are other Leppicorn. Even Ditto can't fool their emotions (difficult as they are to decipher), so if you want a veritable Leppicorn army, you'll have to find a boy Leppicorn and a girl Leppicorn. It's part of the reason why they seem so hard to find.

If this is a male, it should fall for the attraction of a female Lopunny.

Isn't that already true for most male creatures subject to its Cute Charm?

Maybe so but don't forget Lopunnies also have that strange ability called "Klutz" as well.
