After more than a month, it's finally released. This is a fan-made movie based off the classic Mega Man series. Don't expect too much "action" in this movie, expect to see a few bad jokes, tough. Despite its somewhat sketchy look and sometimes repetitive special effects, this was a severe pain to put together.This movie stars Mega Man, Bass, and Tengu Man. But exactly who is the star of this movie anyway? The focus is kind of shaky... Oh! And Rush and Treble are in this movie too!
This is based on a very old doodle I made up, and at least one of the jokes was taken directly from the doodle. To this day, my favorite Mega Man characters are Tengu Man, Bass, and Treble (hence their ever-important roles in this movie). I sorta like Rush too, but certainly not as much as Treble.
That is my voice in the movie, playing the three main parts and one or two others. Mega Man is the closest to my natural speaking voice. Tengu Man has more of my singing voice, and Bass...well, he sounds like he's impersonating "Seto Kaiba." I had to make the voices distinctively different, just to differentiate one character from another. I know they don't sound anything like they do in Mega Man 8...but hey, is that a bad thing? :3
Oh, and I decided to add an easter egg (or...) to this movie, just in case the main feature just isn't enough. It pays to have random thoughts going through your head as you brainstorm...the most unusual things can come up!
I recommend you play this movie on MEDIUM quality. It may not look as nice as high quality, but the animation won't get as choppy.

Nah only two of them so far. One is the Jingle Dogs and that funny "Mega Buster! Bass Buster...".
Don't spoil me on the third one. I'll look for it again the next time I watch this, it's very interesting anyways. ^^

Although, in Tenguman's defense, I actually think he's pretty cool. I think most everyone feels that way about Bass, though.

The direction I took is certainly different from the standard fare of Newgrounds, who from my recollection focused on using sprites to animate rather violent and unpleasant situations. I wanted to make the idea stand out in its own ways; mouse-drawn models, a relatively clean script, and offers something for both Mege Man fans and the "unenlightened" to enjoy (the Easter Eggs contribute to the latter).
So yes! I'm glad you enjoyed the Flash movie.

I first saw this over on Newgrounds a while back, and it is one of my favorite Mega Man videos. I have to say that whenever I am reading Bass's words (in game text, etc), the voice I imagine for him is the one from this video since it fits his character so well. The voice acting for all the characters is great. Overall, it's very well put together, very funny, and the easter eggs were hilarious. Excellent work!

I had pondered a lot about how I was going to do voices for the characters, so I decided to go with my own preference. It seemed to do rather well, according to what I hear. I mean, I certainly was not going to attempt mimicking the voices of Mega Man 8. On a related note, NEVER will I pronounce Bass's name like the fish.

I'm nowhere NEAR familiar with MegaMan,...but I was STILL laughing my butt off from all this! I really appreciate how you don't necessarily have to have kept up with all the games to understand it. It's basically a matter of who gets the privilege of whuppin' MegaMan.
You did SUCH an excellent job with this movie! The voices weren't annoying, the animation was pretty fluid...and the jokes weren't as bad as you claimed

I'm glad you enjoyed it! The subject matter is really focused on the likes of later Mega Man installments, and I was quite surprised to see quite a few non-Mega Man players saying how much they enjoyed the cartoon.
I don't visualize myself as the best Mega Man voice, though I've heard others argue differently. The one thing I DIDN'T want to do is attempt to mimic the types of voices present in Mega Man 8's animated cutscenes. THOSE are annoying...
So did you get to see the Easter Eggs at the end of the cartoon? I've found most folks enjoyed those even more than the regular cartoon. X3

It was an interesting task, making this all work. The main idea was inspired by a single comic-like picture I drew years before. The realization of two arrogant robots made by Dr. Wily I suppose made for a good, if not stupid plot.
The animation is okay, but not detailed. Heh. Mega Man had the least moving parts in his build. X3 So I went with mostly expresion and some semi-decent voice acting. Tengu Man needed some extra motion because he didn't have a mouth to speak, and I wanted something to sync with what he said. :3
The easter eggs might be the most fun bits, tho. Ridiculous afterthoughts, some which still make me smile. ;3

It may have not looked the best visually, but the expression and feelings are there, and the voices were good too. I imagine as a Robot-Master, that with the goal of defeating Mega Man you wouldn't think of much else, not even clashing with your peers xD

I've watched this over 20 times on newgrounds. I must say, it never gets old! You have absolutely wonderful voice talent. (Bass' makes me laugh. He DOES sound like Seto Kaiba!) TenguMans voice is excellent! Mega Mans voice is great too, much better than sounding like a 5 year old. The animation flow is WONDERFUL, even things people may not pay attention to just go so well!
And I love it when Bass exclaims, "BRING IT BIRDIE!" The view on that was PERFECT!
I may not know how to use flash well, but this is GENIUS!

The voices were one of my most concerning issues, as I know I wasn't going to be spot-on with Mega Man 8. But I decided just to use different voices instead, because I knew very well how bad the voices were in that game too.
Considering this movie was based on a still picture I drew close to 10 years ago, I was a bit surprised that it was able to pan out into a cartoon. Toying with the two dogs worked in helping with that. :3
And don't ask me what inspired that Jingle Dogs easter egg. I have no idea. X3
