Description
I had the idea that I wanted to make something with lava in it because I knew it would be a blast to paint. And it was. But a base with a lava texture wouldn't be very interesting on its own, so I put a character in it. Originally she was just standing around and twiddling her thumbs, but that was also a little bit boring. I like scenes. I like it when something's got a story behind it, whether it's explicitly written or just implied.

So here's our unnamed firewalker exploring the inside of a massive volcano, learning the hard way that her suit, while heat proof, is not lava proof.

The foil helmet is removable. Everything else is made with super sculpey, armature wire, and acrylic paints. See the progress here - [link]
