most of it is the same kind of stuff I used for the armor (black vinyl and gold satin), but the inside has foam, so it isn't too heavy. I used a plastic ornament for the eye, and I cut open one of those googly-eyes for the purple gem. the base I used to put it on was one of those velcro circle things that you strap on and play catch with (using a tennis ball or something that sticks to it XD)

yup. I did use my sewing machine a lot on the little "fin-like" things, but most of the stuff on the main piece was done by hand.
