Description
I finished making my BLING!well, almost finished....(I need to touch up some of the paint on the ring that's connected with the chain, and then I'm probably going to glaze the whole thing)
anyways, it was lots of fun.....especially getting lost at the hardware store....>.<

^U^ It looks very nice.
My sister cheated with this part and bought a foam one from Amazon. Surprisingly, it got a lot of compliments.

it's a balsa wood base, with scuplpey clay for the details

oh, that's smart, I was just gonna use sculpey, but I wasn't sure if it would hold. Where do you buy balsa wood? just like Home Depot or something?
(Your icon's hella cute by the way ^^)

I got the wood from Hobby Lobby. It's the kind of stuff people use for architecture models or dioramas.
I specifically used Super scupley, and it stays on great with craft glue. I went ahead and glued it first before painting anything.

Is Hobby Lobby a store? Or a site?
So you made the pyramid of the balsa wood and then put the sculpey on it, already detailed or no? (sorry I'm copying yours so much, it just turned out really good, and I want a Millenium Puzzle so I can wear it ) and thanks for answering all these questions ^^

it's a store. Though they do have a website.
I just did clay detail for the eye and corner pieces. The corners were harder to mold since it had to fit the corners, but I just put a layer of foil between the clay and wood so I could remove it and use it to keep the corner in the right shape as it bakes. I then glued them to the wood.

Ohhh
So, the pyramid shape is balsa wood and the only clay parts are the details, or...? (Sorry, got confused)
