Unlike in case of the regular ponies I didn't rely on existing folding instructions (which I modified just a little to get the MLP characters) Discord's folding was my own design from scratch. He was partly based on the folding pattern I had used before to fold a squirel.EDIT: I changed the background of the original image a little to remove some dark stripes along the border between the grass mat and the printed background.

I did try a version in which I cut out the horn and the antler and folded them upwards, but unfortunately that looked rather strange. Therefore the horn and antler a printed but not folded in this figure. The strangely twisted tip of the head is supposed to be Discord's goatee.
Are you, by any chance, going to visit the GalaCon this year? I will be there for the first time this year. In case we come across each other it would be my pleasure to fold an Origami Discord or Pony for you
