Description
Some practice... trying to implement better or more elaborate lighting but sometimes its really hard to figure it out. Guess I should try 3D one day!Painted with Krita

This is absolutely stunning! Perfect tones, lighting, and great use of atmospheric perspective. Really great work.

3d doesn't really make the lighting easier, except maybe as a guide XD It's probably just because I have nfi what I'm doing but I usually seem to end up using a lot of lights to make it look not fake if I'm trying to do something that actually looks good rather than my usual test renders (which only require 1-3 lights most of the time).
This seems fine anyway, I like the light play on the vegetation

That's true I guess that is what I wanted to mean but sometimes my brain is not in sync with what I say lol!
Indeed it's kind of like a guide that shows where the light particles should land ideally depending on the position and type of the light source. What kind of program do you use for 3d? I'm trying to dabble a bit in blender this year, not sure when though...
Thank you!

Blender XD
You shouldn't have too much trouble with it if you've done 3d already or otherwise play with complicated programs (though having said that I could not for the life of me figure Blender out til they put tabs into the UI, and then after that I suddenly got it, no idea why).Β Otherwise there's a build called Blender for Artists which is apparently easier to pick up? (I have never used it, do know someone that works on it, I'm too much of a coward aka have too much other things to do so prefer to just use the normal blender that comes with the package manager rather than fiddling around with too many other things XD)

I did use 3DsMax before but it was back in High school... so about a decade ago xD Some stuff must've stuck to me so I'm not too intimidated by the controls. I remember at first I felt like I'm at the helm of a flippin' spacecraft with so many panels and buttons xD However, a build for artists sounds amazing I'm definitely looking that up next time!
