So for the past half week or so I've been pretty self-conscious about my first go at this idea. Her eyes were too small and far apart and her muzzle was just ... weird. And I forgot her eyelashes and freckles. Oops. Anyhoo, here's try two. I was in the middle of submitting this moments ago with the note of 'I didn't make the yellow part of the hat large enough' before I realized I still had the file open in Sai and the only thing standing between me and fixing it was, well, me. So I fixed it. It looks a tad like a Rasta hat but I just figure it's holding her mane so.. it.. makes sense? Sure.A mixture of soft and sharp highlights with sharp shading. Does it at least look passable? Let me know! :3

Looks better than the original. I feel AJ channeling a touch of Jayne from Firefly with the hat, which is cool cahse he's one of my fav characters. Yes, much improved work overall. I like.

Thanks :3 I just kept going back to the piece and thinking that I could certainly do it better using some of the things I've been trying lately. I even have a few more changes I've made to this file to try and give her hair more definition but that's something I may just apply to later pieces. :3
