Not a flawless picture, but I'm still persevering a lot here! provided the fiery heat with these spectacular flames brushes.
There is a story around the place somewhere (up my head that is) that should explain what is going on in this picture. I don't know if I'll be able to write it, but hey, I have this to provide.

The future. Darkseid has formed an alliance with another type of god. Olympus is destroyed and so too is Themyscara. Diana is all that's left. She returns to the mortal realm to enlist the JLA in stopping the unholy merger of evil. But too much time has passed. Most of the old team are either dead or retired. Only Superman retains the youth and vitality of bygone days. But he has become a bitter recluse living on another planet. (Lois was murdered in Luthor's last act of vengence. And Superman literally crushed his bald head with his bare hand in retaliation) Using a stargate device within his old fortress Diana heads for Supeman's new home to plead with her former teammate to help her. But Kal-El wants no part of it. But seeing Diana has awakens old memories. Old desires never acted upon due to his commitment to Lois. Despite himself he sees Wonder Woman take on Darkseid and his partner by herself only to see her fall. Whipping out the old uniform the man of steel returns to his former home and saves the last Amazon from a firey death. He takes her back to the Fortress to heal. He vows that this is not the end of truth and justice as Darkseid wants it to be. Nor is it the end of Superman.

I bet it's not the end. Clark is gonna make sure Diana survives. Then he can confess his feelings for her and they can finally get together!

Wonderful work on the textures, the composition and the colouring of this. It's not flawless, as you said, but it's very dramatic and expressive. Nicely done.

Oh it takes a while at times,plus there is the issue of motivation. LOL. I have my next chap in mind but my brain is calling for a rest so I let the writing take a back seat for a week or so. If I am on a roll well that's different.I churn stuff out fast ...then get drained. lol. Although I am a mediocre at art it relaxes me. And I like the subject matter so...hence the drawings. I wish I would color better.

I have nothing but paint and am struggling with proper shading and shadowing...hence everything is so uniformed. Any pointers anyone can give would help. Plus it takes patience ...a thing I some times don't have.lol
