First off, I want to say that you can interpret this scene in any way you like
Hippolyta's death, Batman's death... whatever 
Second, this is a pretty old drawing that I'd kept chucking aside for a time when I could "colour better so that I could make a nice and decent sunset scene".
Hope it looks okay to you! In the original drawing, I also included 
but removed him in the final, because of crappy draw

Wow. That is a really moving piece of fanart. Love the colors. It really reflects the mood of the scene. Did you go with sunset for a symbolic feel? You know ending of day, ending of life? I would say Hippolyta is gone. Nice touch with Diana's crown on the ground.
