Description For some reason this song keeps popping in my head

www.youtube.com/watch?v=up7pvP…

So this is another sketch I did in classes to help myself focus. Yes it really helps... I don't know why.  I wanted to see what would happen if I try applying three point perspective to the cars and scene.  There's still a lot of problems I need to fix, but this could have been much worse considering it is my first attempt with this perspective.

I feel the stuff is still too stagnant,  I need to do more with the suspension to convey motion, I need do some more shading, and coloring! I digitally inverted the drawing because I think it looks better like that, and I really want to try a weird style of digital coloring but I don't have time right now.

As always, I really welcome any constructive feedback to help me improve!!

Wonderful just wonderful perspective, and sense of speed. Great drawing!

Oh thank you very much! It was very crazy experiment, but well worth the learning experience.  If I get the time, I'd actually like to go back to this one and color all the lines but the leave everything else black, basically like everything has this exaggerated neon glow to it.

That's really cool looking. It seems like you're pretty talented with manufactured / artificial objects and perspective.

Oh thank you very much bud!! Cars were originally how I got into drawing, so it only seems fair they serve as the experiments for new techniques.

Why thank you very very much!  It certainly is fun drawing all of these crazy car scenes.  There definitely will be a lot more giant monster and high speed car action to come in the near future!

Wow! This is so awesome, it all looks very realistic.

Really interesting perspective too, you get a real sense of motion

Good song, by the way

Oh thank you!!! First time doing three point with cars, but hey cars are meant to move  I never thought much of the song when it first came out, but it's interesting to how drawing change your taste in music.

Sweet Yeah, my taste in music varies so much. I can go from listening to SPG to Olly Murs to Hugh Laurie in one day, haha.

woooaah that's amazing! So much perspective and speed in one drawing, I'm almost getting carsick from looking at it!

Heck, I'm not a fan of cars or anything, but this is really, really cool.

Oh cool, thank you very much!   It was the first time I tried three point perspective on a drawing like this.  I feel my drawings are too flat, so I want to see what sort of movement I can get.  There certainly will be a lot more vehicle concepts in the near future.

Love it! Plus, great song, I already know from the title. Anyways! Love the perspective! And I'm glad you draw awesome cars for your scenes, hehe Great work! I'm loving the inverted part- though I'm a sucker for darker backgrounds (easier on my eyes ) Great work!

Oh thank you! I remember the song form a long time ago.  I didn't think much of the song back then, but drawing cars to driving themed music has expanded my tastes in very interesting ways.  I did experiment with a couple ways I could color the lines while keeping everything else black, and it gives a really trippy effect!  Sadly at the time I did not have the patience or time to do the coloring, but I do want to go back and do this one.  Hmmm... I guess what would be a good thing to work on for future drawings?  I know I have been meaning to do shading and coloring for some time.   I just haven't for some odd reason...

Well they take a LOT of time to do, even more than just lineart, so it makes sense that you haven't had the time to work on shading and coloring. But that's okay! I would honestly learn to shade with charcoal- it's one of THE best ways to shade, even to this day, all my charcoal work was a blessing to my artistic knowledge. As for coloring, I can't help you there- I can only color digitally, haha. But the concept of coloring all the lines; particularly on an image that's inverted like this, sounds AWESOME.

OOOOHHHH! That reminds me...... it has been a long time since I've worked with charcoal!  I do have all the stuff leftover from the summer class I took.  The only real down side is that it makes such a mess, but now I have a way around that.  There are also a few other charcoal drawings from the summer I have been meaning to post for some time too. I'll try to do some more over the break.  Thanks so much for reminding me about that!

Oh thank you very much! I am a big time motor head. Race scenes and crazy, but possible vehicle concepts.  I am trying to put more of the three and two point perspectives into my giant monster scenes too.

I might start putting some cars and kaiju together in the near future. Ex: Godzilla and a Nissan GTR, Mothera and Mazda MX5 (Miata), Rodan and maybe a Subaru BRZ / Scion FRS. There's a lot of ways this project could be interpreted so any feedback is welcome.

Thanks so much for your support!

Thank you very much buddy!  First time I've tried this, but definitely not the last.  Now I wanna see if I can get the cars jumping and sliding around.  I'll probably go back and color this one.  I experimented a little with replacing the white lines with color, and looked pretty wicked!

Thanks so much comrade! It might be a bit too distorted, but it was the first attempt with three point with cars and movement. I want to get these things in mid-turn or even mid-jump.

Why thank you very much!  It feels like putting them negative somehow cleans up the pictures. Like some of the flaws are either hidden or look somewhat intentional. I didn't have time to fully do this, but when I experimented with changing the white to colors it looked really tripy in a god way.
