Description
This was done at this past Chicago con for super art collector Dan. It was a lotta fun drawing on a big piece of paper. I was able to be a lot more free flowing with the brush.Related content

Was that straight onto a clean sheet, or did you have it sketched on beforehand..? Either way the final product is amazing...

That's awesome seeing it all come together. I love the strokes & washes with the ink. What's the white, ink or paint?

It's amazing to watch this process.
I love the technique you used for the claws, and the fact this is all watercolor[?] only makes this more impressive! That had to be one happy customer~

it's just india ink. I had a cup of water to dilute the ink for the washes. the claws were done with white ink and brush as well From what I heard he was happy, I wished I was there to see his reaction it's always great to see someone genuinely enjoy the piece. It makes up for when people look at what you hand them back with a weird smile.

Okay, I was just gonna conradulate you on the final pic, but seeing the process is even cooler. Looks incredible, wish I could visit a comic con to get one of your sketches.

Whoa, man! This is great!
Paper's bigger (or just about the same size) as a double-page spread, is it?

Did you have a pencil sketch down first?
Beautiful work.
