Thought I would try my hand at embossing on copper. I haven't tried it since high school and that was a loooong time ago! I used liver of sulphur to patina the metal, burnished it off the high spots with steel wool and then applied Renaissance Wax to seal it. I love Copper anything for the most part but these are gorgeous. I was wondering how you embossed them (found answer) ..I etch & engrave, for the most part, but can imagine the ohink I even have my old clay tools. I’ll have to go checkout a few of the You-Tube videos.. Thanks

I remember doing the copper embossed stuff when I was in art class in junior high. I still have the one I made, it is attached to a wooden plaque. It has a few areas that have been damaged from the years of moving etc. But I still cherish it.

Thanks! I sketched on one side of the copper and used some of my old clay tools to emboss the drawing into the metal. You can watch people embossing on copper on youtube to get an idea of what it's like.
