Description
Woah, here I go playing with textures again. It's texture overload! Not sure if I like this one. I did have fun making it though. It is black polymer clay on a 6" square ceramic tile. All the textures were made by hand using just a couple of tools. Can you guess which ones? Added a few glass gems and found objects and brushed on lots of powdered pigments. I was testing colors I have never used before. The russet is wonderful!Anyhoo, here it is in all it's metallic glory.

Nice to see those inchies you worked so hard on garnered PCD's attention.
Could you have used a Sculpey 5-in-1 for the hammered effect? The circles with dots could have been made with a pen cap and a poker.

Thanks! You are close. I used Sculpey Style and Detail tools. I love those things. Someone here on dA recommended them and they are wonderful! The circles were made with a drinking straw. I also used another clay tool that looks a bit like an ice pick.

I need to get a set of those. My 5 in 1 only has one size ball and I'd like smaller ones.
You do get maximum use out of your tools.

it looks beautiful
as for the tools my guesses are
A paint brush's non brush end
one looks lite you used a bead reamer
the circles look like the metal circle that divides some of the fancy pens downs the middle
and the lines look like a flat bladed wood carver.

Thank you! I used the Sculpey Style and Detail tools, a tool that looks a bit like an ice pick, a craft knife and a drinking straw lol!

Oh heck yeah! Sometimes the strangest things make wonderful texture. Even a crumbled piece of paper!
