I had to move to New Mexico back in October of last year because my lease ran out and the only way I qualified in the first place is that my at the time "not quite" EX signed on the lease with me so it took his income as the 2.5 times the rent to qualify.  Well the new owners wanted proof of income 3 times the rent amount.  Didn't make a difference that I had just paid the last 15 months on my own ALONE.  Tho he was hiking up the rent too.  Almost everywhere you go you have to prove 2 to 3 times the income as what rent is and I'm on a VERY fixed budget and do not qualify for anything.  SOOOOooo I ended up moving here and renting a house from my oldest son's other mother.  She didn't require any of that and I get money off the rent for hours I work doing repairs and if I spend any money in supplies get reimbursed or it comes off my rent.  And believe me I have years worth of work that has to be done to this place.  Unfortunately some of the things that were "promised" me in the beginning haven't happened but I can't complain; I have a home.  

Well in April my daughter landed herself in a situation that was none too desirable and the guy she was engaged to her dumped her after she ended up pregnant.  They had planned on having a baby it just happened faster than he wanted and when he saw that it truly was a baby on the sonogram at the office, he broke it off right there.  She had to walk home and found out he went straight into the arms of his ex (who also has a kid of his) and then a week later they got engaged.  Long story short, my son and I drove down and I drained my savings and rented a U-haul and brought her here to live with me.  (not something I knew was going to be fun, long story there).  Well a few months later she had a girlfriend that she wanted to move here to help.  Her girlfriend was to get a job and help with bills etc.  Well she got a job.  So far she's not had enough to help with bills because of lack of hours due to one thing or another.  

Well the baby was born on the 17th.     Now there are 3 more people and lots more anxiety and more mess and I'm going to literally land in the nuthouse before long.  It's a battle if I ask for things to be done the way I would like them, it's asking too much etc.  Long story again.  Anyways, life is most definitely hectic and I really wish things were better, smoother, different, etc.  Tho my granddaughter is the most adorable little precious one in the world.

Oh my gosh, you have really been through a lot! I'm glad the baby is healthy (she is adorable!) and I hope things calm down and get easier for you.

Same here, I know it will get better, I just hope it happens sooner rather than later.
