Finally made a proper reference sheet for my oldest centaur character Meldan. His lower body resembles a Norwegian fjord horse and is relatively muscular. Too bad muscles are of little use when you're an engineer...

I've been exploring him for over the years, and figured that this guy is a bit of an emotional wreck, suppressing his happiness by the frustrations he faces daily. He was never fond of humans, as they live privileged lives, while he requires expensive adaptations for everything. He tries to raise awareness about the problems, but also promotes to children that they can choose their own destiny outside tradition. Meldan's own relationship with tradition is very mixed, as he takes some pride in centaur traditions, while he also sees that they are sustaining a system of interspecies oppression.

It was a shock when he discovered that his brother was going to marry a human, but meeting her changed a lot in him. For years he had lived in denial of his homosexuality, but having met his brother's partner, she challenged him to be honest about himself. He finally dared to face his feelings, and started to recognise that his love of his life had been right in front of him all these years. Confessing his love to his boyfriend Fedor, revealing that the minotaur shared the feelings, this started his healing process, and finally allow himself to be truly happy.

He doing archery training regularly, and he plays electric guitar in an amateur band. He does both of these things together with Fedor. He doesn't like crowds, and he loves places where he can roam around freely, like in the forests around the town he grew up in, or walks along the beach.
