Do you mind giving a short description of the process in which you made it please? Is it just displacement maps and some extensive modeling?

This is a fractal, a basic formula called mandelbox in mandelbulb 3D, what I did here was cutting it on all axes to get a view of the hidden power 2 mandelbulb...
So no 3D modeling...
