It looks a lot like Superstring stuff except for the fact, that some of the spherical structures seem furry.
Black holes don't have hair.
It also reminds me of a mix of certain crystal structures and nerves: Cyberneticaly enhanced human brain?
Third possibility is some kind of pseudo-organic silicone structure on an alien planet that has fruits of this kind.
Lots of possible imaginative interpretations for a single awesome structure
