First Panel of the First Comic in the series, a collaboration with .EDIT: Changed the eyes slightly.
Dialog to be added later:
Accordin' to the book, we need a shell of some sort to hold everything together. Ah think an apple barrel should do the trick, an' we got plenty around the farm. So that's easy.

I expected to have to draw the diagram, but Wiki had it in SVG format.
This was such a weird draw because I didn't find any screencaps of ponies from this perspective. I'd sketched it out, but I didn't know what looked right for muzzle and eyes. Then, of course, I over-analyse it and can't tell at all.

In this case, I would have drawn a 1/4 view sitting pony (back to viewer, with some side visible)with the diagram on the floor with my standard background POV. I'm pretty good at translating flat objects onto floors or walls. But this is just personal preference with what I am comfortable drawing
I think you did fine with this one, it fully highlights the drawing, and Applebloom looks ok (it is a little odd, but there is no comparison, and the anatomy is plausible). The eyes seem right. I might have done the snout a little wider at the base, but I'm just speculating, because I don't have any way to sketch it out to see if it actually looks better
All in all. The drawing is recognizable as Applebloom, and nothing screams out as visibly wrong. That good enough in my book.

Yeah, I thought of doing something that showed the plans obliquely on the floor or pinned up on the wall, but this just popped into my mind and seemed right. It's probably an unknowing homage to some heist movie.

I think the adjustments do make it better. I'm doing some quick 3d modeling in my head, and that should be about right for the perspectives shown in the show for eye position...
I think the overhead shot is a good one, it does bring the heist feel to the panel

Yeah, definitely. I was going to draw panel 2, but I thought, "Oh, I'll just check dA quick." Then I was reminded it's Saturday morning and now I'm in the stream chatroom. XD
