Great job on the glow/star effects, I'll be trying to work out how you did it once I've had some proper sleep... Are the sparkles randomised? Or have you hand placed them?

The white sparkles are done by hand with the star tool, and the little green ones shooting off are copies of one made with the ellipse and star tools that were placed using the spray tool. There was a bit of randomization for x, y, and rotation on those. Overall, though, sooo many gradients and transparencies and blurs. It was really taxing the graphics card to edit them.

My problem is I can't ever seem to export blurs... My processor just gives up/Inkscape crashes if the resolution of the export is set to anything decent.
I'd never even looked at the spray tool, interesting to know how it works now though. Not that I've had occasion to use it up until now but it could be quite handy for magic in general.
Just one more panel to draw? Am I right?

After finishing panel 6 (I have #8 in the can), I have 2 more: #'s 7 and 9. It was a bit refreshing to draw adult ponies again.

Anyway, I know you've done a few adults recently. I'm getting a little impatient about publishing that at the moment!

This strip started as I think just 5 panels, but *Birdco and I rewrote the outline a bit and extended it to 9. 3 thru 5 combined are the size of one regular panel, though, so it's kind of like 7.
Anyway, yeah, I'd like to see our project come out, too. I was hoping it would be out by our original date of 20 June. I've never been good with deadlines, though, so I can't really complain.
