HEY LOOK A MONKEYFor a project in AP Art. :B My concentration is 'dreams', I wanted to do something nightmarish, aaand we had to center our art around a controversial issue, so I chose animal testing.
Sorry about the weird lines/lighting. o.O I scanned this four times to get the whole thing in, so som corners are lighter than others...
My art teacher really liked this! : D It got blown up real big and it's gonna be framed and hung in the school!
I can't wait to see~! 
Done in prismacolor marker and microns on illustration board.

It can really break your heart about what humans do to them. Animal testing needs to be stopped permanantly.

I read your post too quickly, and read "what humans need to do to them", and was about to write a really nasty response. Good thing I reread! I agree completely - it's amazing that it's mostly just ignored.

Yes...and I do wish they would pay more attention, it also really gave me an idea as well as other motivating images. At least to attempt to get as many users on DeviantART and around the internet to join up and rebel against it. Human's pure of heart, never cruel or inhumane, that would always put forth the effort, sacrifice, and care deserve a second chance...who would always care more about others than themselves; including ones that want to make up for their past mistakes. Animals do deserve a second chance as well, they only attack against us for protection and defense, it's time we were their voice to finally end this madness.

Ooooh that definitely is creepy! Very well done! It is almost painful to look at. [I don't see things like this at work, but different sorta things, and they do make me sad] Great commentary on the issue. And congrats on getting your art up in the school! Wasn't there another thing that's going to be at the school? A trophy or something? Sorry, I forget. But it seems like you'll leave quite a legacy!

Hrm...oh! There's gonna be a big Harlem Renaissance mural I made put up, so that'll be nice! ^___^ That feels like I'm tricking people or something with it up though, lol. XD IT'S SO HALF-ASSED. Done in three days. It's only impressive cuz it's big! o.O;

That's scary... But its true. I did a report on animal testing for english, it made me cry writing it ;-;
Well anyway, I think it looks fine X3 It's incredible and it gets the point across -- How could you look at that poor monkey and not feel bad?

Thanks! ^^ Yeah, I did a report on the same thing, mostly it just made me angry...what inspired THIS to come about was listening to some jackass in my Physics class go on about how he stoned a cat. .-. Made me so angry I wanted to go over and slap him, buuuut I drew somethign instead. XD
