Alright finally got a decent picture of this to upload, anyway this is my Necron Overlord for my Warhammer 40000 army, he's converted out of bits from the Command Barge model kit and has a top hat made out of sprue bits and green stuff. I want to call this a collaboration since I wouldn't have gone with the top hat without talking to my friend who also made this awesome pic that I more or less based the painting off of. [link]I wanted to do the glowing white energy details but they ended up backfiring on me so I just went with solid white. Honestly though I'm fine with how this turned out, the different shades of blue look good and the tophat came out awesome. I'm gonna go back and touch up on the blade later, honestly I gave it a lazy coat of blood splatter over the white and left it at that. Beside that fix up I'm happy with my Overlord.
Suggestions and Critiques on him would be greatly appreciated he's only the first of my necron army so I've got a lot of painted to start working on

This is sooo cool to see, seeing as how I had the exact same thing in mind for my lord! Seeing how well this guy turned out has me even more excited to try mine. The tophat looks great, and I love the paintscheme. It's always great to see another Necrons player steer away from the standard "Boltgun with Scorpion Green". Love 'im

If you mean Necrons wearing hats...then no. Though my royal court, or at least my guards for my overlord, will have hats when I get them.
