Description Hello folks, it's your old psychotic pal Maniax80! Now you know how with the Slasherverse I had always put out a number of reference sheets, to help create a general idea or image for folks or artists that I work with. Well with the developing Godzilla Project, it stands to be no exceptions with it! So let's get started with a good old fashion bio of the King in this universe, enjoy!

"My Name is Ozymandias, King of Kings: Look upon my works, ye mighty and despair."
Godzilla is perhaps one of the most infamous titans to walk the Earth. Believed to have been the very first confirmed titan from the surviving inhabitants of Hokkaido's Odo Island, many held a great deal of disbelief towards the idea of "A giant, fire-breathing dinosaur rising up from the ocean.". They honestly should have believed them because less than few weeks later, Godzilla made landfall in the city of Tokyo. Within less than a day, Godzilla had reduced the towering city to ash and rumble and had destroyed their nuclear reactors before returning to the sea. Godzilla became one of the more recurrent monsters in the world, with Godzilla seeming to predominantly appear in major coastal cities within the eastern countries of Asia, the nuclear giant Japan being a central focus, though he briefly appeared once in San Francisco.

A powerful titan, Godzilla seemed to be more resilient and potentially more intelligent than most other titans. Most attacks in regard to Godzilla were either found to be ineffective against or simply had ended with Godzilla retreating into the ocean with no knowledge of where he was then or where he had gone. One of the most odd things about Godzilla though, which had earned him the nickname of the 'King of Monsters' was his interactions with other titans. In some of the cities he attacked, other titans were already present and Godzilla would seem almost to target and brutally kill them before leaving. However, less than a few months before the Cataclysm, Godzilla was believed to have finally been eliminated by the Japanese Military with an experimental chemical weapon known as the Oxygen Destroyer, a chemical of which breaks down the oxygen molecules within water rendering the water highly acidic.

Locating Godzilla, the deployed the chemical weapon into Osaka Bay. The standing results? The waters of Osaka Bay were rendered toxic with it having killed hundreds of fish and marine life but yet they hadn't found Godzilla's amongst them. Some held out that he had died from exposure to the toxic chemical and had gone off somewhere in the deep to die while others believed that the chemical had simply warded him off. The latter held true with this as almost a century since that moment, the King has returned...

Notes:
- Godzilla in this is speculated to be somewhere around a few hundred years old, with some claims being held with the Odo Island legend of Gojira and the claimed encounter with it at sea in 1954.

- Godzilla in this is perhaps the shortest iteration of the titan yet. Standing at 84ft tall, Godzilla has a total body length of 213.2ft with a 130.2ft long tail. The reasoning being towards an attempt to create the most scientifically plausible version of the titan.

- For those who haven't read my previous post discussing this, it will be included near the end, Godzilla like most titans is believed to possess two hearts with one pumping blood to the brain and other vitals while the other pumps blood through the body. Basically taking a bit of the edge off of gravity's pull as it were.

- While although a carnivore, Godzilla's species have evolved a unique trait which is shown to be held with most other titans. Their cells are shown to possess radiotrophic capabilities, meaning that they can actually convert radioactive energy into chemical energy which can be utilized by the body.

- Now not many people have thought of this idea, as far as I know, Godzilla hibernative cycle hasn't really been explained. So for this Godzilla, I turned to the African Lung Fish for inspiration. Either seeking out underwater cave system or burying themselves within the Earth itself, Godzilla's species enter into this state typically when prey and/or radiation is scarce. Slowing their biological clocks, with genes related to detoxifying waste are 'up-regulated' to stop the build-up of harmful products in the liver and the expression of genes related to blood coagulation and iron and copper metabolism being 'down-regulated', this serves to conserve energy within the dormant creature. It doesn't stop quite there yet as for extra protection, they produce of 'shell' or 'cocoon' of sorts comprised of secreted mucus and their own dead skin cells. This in turn means that Godzilla's kind not only can last long in this state, not needing to eat or drink or even defecate, but are also thoroughly protected.

- Godzilla's evolutionary history is a bit of an interesting one as Godzilla is believed to likely be an evolved from the therapsid family, specifically gorgonopsia, a group mammal-like reptiles with history going back to the Early Permian era. It is likely that Godzilla's kind evolved from this species and evolved in a similar manner to their distant relatives, the dinosaurs and crocodilians, in a classic case of convergent evolution. Since then though Godzilla's kind, likely to survive extinction level events, have evolved to be amphibious organisms, capable of surviving both on land and in the sea which arguably puts them in a group all their own.

- Godzilla possesses a sort of secondary 'brain', a organ-like nerve cluster located on the upper lumbar vertebrae. This speculated to be present in most other titans as, given their massive size, a regular organism wouldn't be able to move as swiftly. Because of that, this secondary brain serves to help relay neural messages, effectively speeding along the process so as to allow for full functionality of the organism in terms of movement.

- Godzilla withholds a great number of traits which fall into similarities with other species. Within their ancestors the therapsids, they are shown to be endothermic, possess vocal chords, and hold a mammalian facial and dental structure; with crocodilians Godzilla's kind possess the lung-like air sacs (Godzilla can't breath underwater in this variant), powerful muscled jaws, protective nictitating membranes, and similar swimming style; and dinosaurian traits with its bipedal stance and claws (Excluding its thumbs).

- Godzilla possesses a unique regenerative quality similar to that of the Axolotl Salamander which allows it to regenerate at an accelerated rate from massive tissue damage but to a lesser extent in the sense of limb regeneration, can't make it too easy for the King.

- Godzilla seems to fight similar to that of most bears, clawing and biting.

- This Godzilla's design is a essential hybrid of the Unmade Stan Winston Godzilla and Legendary's in terms of head structure and hunched posture. The best possible description of the sort of skull/facial hybridization of these two can be seen to the upper left, appearing as a more healthy balance of mammalian and reptilian like Legendary to an extent, a basic general idea of Godzilla's coloration and skull/facial structure.

- Among the Followers of Gojira, a future group yet to be introduced, Godzilla is regarded held to be a sort of 'God of Balance'.

- The face above is brought to you by Snake151 , a rather great artist I might add.

I hope you guys enjoyed the pic and all the info that is jam packed into this, probably will be introducing a journal for the G-Man later on. Make sure to leave a like and leave a comment below if you got any and remember....Long Live the King.

By the way you should probably give credit to the artist of the picture in the middle of the top row.

Not fond of the height. Godzilla should be immense in size (I prefer the 100-122 meter range), realism just doesn't work for Kaiju, it kind of takes away what makes them so special in my eyes. They are meant to be unfathomably large godlike beasts, their impossible size is a key factor in what makes them seem so Godlike amongst the other entities of this planet., it gives them a sense of mysticism like titans of old.

Honestly, the Monsterverse seeming to imply it's titans are mystical to a degree (They are smarter than non-human animals, they have strange powers, are impossible sizes...and Mothra can fucking reincarnate)...and I think that may be the best way to go about it, it's what I'm doing anyways...

But enough of my bitterness.

Other than that this project of yours sounds brilliant. The idea of a post-apocalyptic Godzilla story is an idea I'm a sucker for (I myself am writing semi-post apocalyptic one), it's full of so many goddamn possibilities that I love. keep up the good work.

Well I appreciate your critique and while although I love giant monsters, I wanted to make it grounded a bit more in reality if that makes sense. I’m glad you like it though

That's fair, I just don't get it, but it's your project.

Your welcome.

On second look I really am seeing more protomammal in Godzilla's old american design

That is what I considered, I wanted to keep Godzilla a healthy mix of reptile and mammal and therapsids seems befitting as they are not truly mammals but rather reptiles with mammalian traits. The essential grand daddy of mammals before they were even mammals basically is what I'm getting at, though to clarify for disclosure, Godzilla is a amphibious reptile.
