Description
"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings: Look upon my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"- Percy Bysshe Shelley.Yeah, I have a redesign of Godzilla for At The World's End complete with old and new info on our favorite King of the Monsters. Admittedly my intros haven't been that stellar as of late but hopefully this one makes up for that lackluster. (Slaps on 3D) So buckle up, get your popcorn buckets ready cause (Straps himself in) it's gonna be a fun ride. LET'S DO IT....AGAIN!
Notes:
- Despite a number of monsters appearing in the near decade long assault of the titans on mankind, the most bizarre thing of it appears to be that Godzilla....may be the only member of species. To clarify this, other monsters have shown up with others of their own species showing up in different places sometimes and even in herds, flocks, or swarms after the preceding has been eliminated. Godzilla though? Aside from proving himself to be insanely difficult to kill, given his natural abilities and intelligence, Godzilla does exhibit some scars from previous altercations as well as a preferred territory in Japan.
- Merging both my Cyberpunk and Post Apocalyptic Timeline into the same, with just a slight dash of the Anime Series, Godzilla would have some degree of mythology to him in the future. Explained by Shobijin, basically a surviving group of humans whom worship the unborn Mothra which seems to offer a degree of protection against this new world, eons ago the Earth created a protector to preserve and sustain it, a balance keeper of sorts. Born from her own 'flesh', this God of Balance served well in its purpose, maintaining the balance of nature until the Earth's latest creation came to light. Man. While although seemingly harmless, still tribal in this time, the creature believed that the Earth's newest creation would spell out it's destruction and thus carried out to eliminate man before it could become a threat. This act led the Earth to react as it was forced to bind and cast its own creation, its own child, into the cold icy depths of the abyss. On that day, Godzilla was born. The fallen God of Order, the God of Destruction.
- Some of the monsters are in flux right now but it's looking like the following here for our potential roster, please don't hold me too it if things change.
Battra
Godzilla
Radon and Rodan
Anguirus
Kamacuras
Hedorah
Biollante
Deathla
Mechagodzilla (Guest Starring the Oxygen Destroyer!)
And possible and this is the biggest possibly ever!....King Ghidorah.
- Godzilla in this would be 'defeated' roughly a year or two before the Cataclysm, the Nations of the US, Japan, and China decided to try and bring an end to the King of Monsters once and for all. Luring him to the ruins of the now abandoned Tokyo where they deployed the biological weapon of Deathla (Now the Hedorah derived aerosol equivalent of the Anti-Nuclear Bacteria from the Heisei series, siphoning off his radiation as it poisons his body) and Mechagodzilla. While weakened, Godzilla still proved himself as an immeasurable force of nature forcing Mechagodzilla to detonate it's failsafe weapon. THE OXYGEN DESTROYER. The fight going into the water when the bomb went off, the waters would be rendered uninhabitable for decades to come as well as decimating any potential chance of Mechagodzilla's reconstruction. Still, they had to be sure as Tokyo Bay was dredged for the remains of the King of the Monsters only to find none which really begged the question, had the King really fallen or had this attack only bought them a lengthy intermission before his inevitable return? Only time will tell.
- Godzilla's death toll potentially ranges within the hundreds of millions with a number of kaiju fallen to his name.
- Godzilla, for a reminder of his body size.
Length: 416.09ft (161.99ft Head to Rump, 254.10ft Rump to Tail)
Height: 164ft
Skull: 35.13ft Long, 11.71ft Tall
- Updating the design, this Godzilla would utilize the redesigned '98 Godzilla as the body framework a bit, the posture of the Monsterverse Godzilla, the coloration and a more organic/maple like variation of the MireGoji (Godzilla 2000) spines, and finally the hybrid head of central Godzilla above (Seriously look at that thing! It's awesome!).
- Similar to both Axolotl's and the American Alligator, Godzilla has an aggressive immune system which keeps him going and healing just about any potential wound or infection. He's also suggested to be highly intelligent, not just as simple animal, as within his encounters with the military Godzilla has used his atomic breath to eradicate incoming fighter jets, dived down in water when in dealing with depth charges, and just the general malice. Though Godzilla may hold some animalistic behavior, there are times when his intelligence seems to shine, where his rage seems to be more than just an alpha organism protecting his territory.
- A question I got in terms of Godzilla is what kind of therm is he? Well I like to think he's an endotherm bordering on gigantothermy as he would kind of need to be cold blooded to better deal with the excess body heat generated, possibly having the spines acting as not only a possible means of absorbing solar radiation but also regulating heat. That would come in handy when Godzilla releases his atomic breath.
- In terms of Godzilla's radiotrophic cells, from an evolutionary standpoint, this ability would be undoubtedly used in long periods of famine with Godzilla deriving enough chemical energy from the environment in order to ensure his survival until his next big feeding. This may seem like a bit of a downgrade but you've got factor in that a lot of time an organism will need to consume other things in order to get the necessary macromolecules need for life's continued existence.
- Godzilla's armor is impressed to be quite resilient to most conventional weaponry and explosives, in fact you have a higher chance of getting yourself killed in such an attempt rather than kill Godzilla.
- Godzilla's atomic breath is still kind of a mystery to me in terms of science. One theory of it that has presented is that Godzilla has a sort of 'plasma organ' or gland, located somewhere within the chest quite possibly, which stores away or absorbs radioactive particles. When necessary, in theory this organ could stimulate/excite these molecules, drawing in some stomach fluids to which upon release it can ignite. Much like the initially in the 2014's Godzilla, this ability is not to be used too often as much like running you can't run forever without anything in your stomach...for a lack of better phrasing. This is HIGHLY theoretical as you can't entirely make sense of a atomic breathed gargantuan, only theorize.
- Taking a lot of consideration into this, the hardy bone mineral composition with titanium and varying thicker cell membranes, I decided to integrate into Godzilla's hardy muscles and powerful bones a third powerful element to further solidify his survival. Carbon nanotubes. For a lack of better phrasing think of it like scaffolding or steel framework for a building, only carbon nanotubes tensile strength almost 100 times greater than that of steel of the same diameter. This proves to be quite the tough customer as it stands even to be a bit tougher than titanium even and is capable of imitating collagen (The sort of framework for bone minerals and muscles) and the strengthening and increased growth of cartilage. Now this does mean that Godzilla maybe just straight up made of carbon nanotubes, or at least an organic variant of it in this, I'll have to further look into that theory if any but in terms of things it acts just as I said. Framework, providing enough extra support and such that Godzilla can freely move and do just about whatever noticeable possibly as stands of black or grey color in his muscles and possibly rings or bits of grey in bone.
How exactly Godzilla gets the graphene/carbon is a bit unclear as in terms of some experiments, the straight up consumption only really contributes a small percent with the rest being excreted. It could be that Godzilla's digestive system maybe a bit different than your typical organism's and in terms of gaining it? Graphene is kind of already consumed by us in the sense of the charring of meat and plants, even rocks in the sense of crocodilians and avians at times, which makes Godzilla an omnivore. Like us!....EAT IT VEGANS (Just kidding, you guys do you XD)!
- Godzilla, much like crocodilians, may consume rocks in use not only for graphene but gastroliths to aid in digestion as well as allow for our king of monsters to dive to greater depths.
And that is the updated Godzilla! I hope you like some of the info and the new design folks, especially the Fall of the King. Remember to leave a comment below if you got any questions and above all else remember to stay scary!
