I love every single one of these designs. Exeggutor is one of my favorite pokemon of all time and its really cool to see so many variety of interpretations in one image. It's amazing really. Way cool!

Thank you kindly! Exeggutor is totally underrated, it is the best Happy Tree. It was so much fun to work with, there was just so much to draw from for inspiration, and all of it found in nature, too! That is always a fantastic plus.

I don't really see a lot of these as Exeggutor, but they are really cool ideas none the less!
In terms of being Exeggutors, I think the two middle ones closest to the canon are the ones I like best. The tall, skinny one is a cute idea too. The big ones in the back look like they could be terrifying, but are moving pretty far from the original design; they are more so their own thing. The one with spewing fruits is very different too... it could maybe be an evolution (but don't let Nintendo hear I said that, heh).

Keeping close to the original design was not a goal for this particular exercise - if anything it was the opposite! The idea of "Exeggutor" was treated closer to a prompt rather than a basis for design, as (as you have rightly pointed out) those outside of the two who closest resemble the original are more meant to be seen as "their own thing". The overarching goal was to have a set of designs that could potentially stand on their own, but could also be traced back to their original design / inspiration. The version to Vance's immediate left was directly based off of the Pokemon as a whole (and I have to admit, it's also my favourite of the lot, with the skinny palm and dragon tree versions coming up as close seconds).
Nintendo has eyes and ears everywhere.
