Aren't they, though? I wasn't able to go see her this year (she's on display over Memorial Day weekend), but hopefully I can next year. She's not nearly as pink any more and is listed as a "white-sided" rattlesnake now.

Is there differences in the behaviors of different rattlers you think? I wanted to do a little research on rattle snakes for fun (though when I search rattle snakes on Google I get mostly articles about people who've been bitten) and I don't know what type of rattle butt I should start with.
Oh yeah, I've seen ball pythons start out pink and turn white later as well. I wanna see one of these animals stay pink.

From what I've heard from various venomous snake keepers who keep rattlesnakes, it's definitely more of an individual snake as opposed to a particular species. Individually speaking, some rattlesnakes are incredibly laid back, while others are incredibly high strung.

I was thinking it would be cool to work with rattlesnakes if I know what I'm doing. I've seen a video of a man that had a rattler de-venomed or something, so he was holding it on his shoulders like it was a ball python! Though I don't know if I would risk pissing one off even without venom. I don't like the idea of flesh covered teeth sinking into my own flesh... Eheh...

Removing the snake's venom glands is an inhumane and seriously stupid thing to do, as sometimes the gland grow back.

Well I never said I devenomed anything or would.

No worries. Most vets refuse to do it now. I just had to put that information out there in case other people read it and thought that would be an "easy/safe" way to have venomous snakes without having to "worry" about the whole venom thing.

I'd still worry even without the venom. Because I don't like the idea of fangs that look that way being in me x3

Especially if you know you run a high chance of the bite getting infected even if there is zero venom involved.

Yep. Actually, I didn't know they could infect humans.

Any animal bite runs the risk of infection. With reptiles, there's also the possibility of them carrying salmonella.

Oh :c
Yeah it isn't something I hear about often so it isn't thought about often. Still though, on occasion if I get a little nip from a hungry and confused snake.

There is a lot of genetic mutations within rattlers.

I agree.
I hope to be able to photograph her each year.
