**This is an older ref sheet that I commissioned from FadingSky a few years ago. I felt it might be neat to cross-post this over here to not only raise awareness of an amazing artist, but to help give interest to a potentially awesome idea!**

This is a commission of a reference sheet that I bought from iconFadingsky.

Here we have a reference sheet for Manji, but this is not her usual look! This is my fursona in an altered form, fit for the world that Fadingsky is in the process of creating.

The world is currently in the process of being created, and it centers around warring nations at a time similar to the medieval ages, or that of the feudal nations in Japan. In this world there exists two separate races of furs: the ones that have evolved and grown to stand upright (aka the Anthros) and the ones that have not (the Ferals). The feral species are more specific than that, with them usually being larger, and more akin to beasts. However similar to beasts they may be, they can actually be just as intelligent as normal anthros, and some may even be able to speak and talk!

Regardless of this, ferals are treated as second-class citizens. Certain feral species are often captured and used as slaves. Smaller ferals are used as personal attendants, while the majority of the larger ferals are used as mounted pets, similar to war horses. The main story that Fadingsky is creating will revolve around a growing friendship than a feral and his master/owner, and the adventures they will go on in a world filled with war and hatred.

The whole set-up involves a bit of bondage on the part of the ferals, but the main message of the story itself is very beautiful, and the art that :Fadingsky has done is very beautiful. It has already captured my attention, and I am a bit of a fan of his now.

This submission is a reference sheet that I asked of him, which involved him taking Manji's shark design and retooling it and reworking it into the form of a wingless Windea (which is a feral dragon species in his story). This particular Windea is a type of cross-breed, which we shall call a "Shark-Windea", for now

Fadingsky designed this as a character for me, but I have explicitly told him that should he ever choose to do so, he may use this character (or a copy with similar appearance or personality) in his stories and works. I have essentially shared the rights with him on this Shark-Windea version of Manji, and am more than happy to do so ^_^ I may never see her in any story of his, but I feel strongly enough about his work that I would gladly support it!
