December Prompt, Part 1 of 2

While out hunting on your own, you catch the sound of a grouse. It’s only a bit smaller than you, but you can’t tell how much meat was hiding under their feathers.

You decide it’s worth the learning experience anyway, crouching low and trying to balance your weight. You stalk towards it, trying your best to remain as silent as you can, your bright orange fur making you look like a beacon among the hemlock trees of the Northern Coalition territory.

The grouse sees you easily, so you pounce, and surprisingly, your pounce is perfect, the bird tries to escape, but it’s tiny talons don’t grip the leaves well and soon enough.

You come crashing down atop it, shockingly, you’ve aced the kill with a perfect snap to the neck. You lift it up proudly, fluffed up with excitement at showing your colony mates your catch later on.

However, the ground under you feels strange, it looks like you’re sinking, and things begin to shake. You hear a release of air before you yourself, are in the air, you’re falling, where did the ground go? (by KalmeiziacReb )

wheezee this was one big canvas originally but it simply got too long so I had to separate it into two parts. The next one is already in the works and it should be up later this week.

I'm testing out comic features and styles I may want to use for my original comic Atlas Heart, so this was definitely a learning experience xd It was a lot of work and layers but I like how it ended up and the pencil tool for lineart did a great job!

The weeb inserts read 'rustle', 'impact' and 'rumble' in the order from top to bottom

Hopefully its not so hard to tell that she fell into a hole, I failed that last panel so hard fsdgfhf shits hard even with a reference
