Description
The following is a transcript from a military meeting during the Civil War.General Alex MacTavish: "Gentlemen, welcome to the meeting of the 5th division of the Union army. Now, let's get to the topic at hand. The Confederate States of the Atlantic is still not surrendering, even after we sent out our ultimatum."
Sergeant Mike MacDowell: "What do we do then, General?"
General Alex MacTavish: "We begin an operation. One that I'd like to call.. Operation Takeback."
Colonal Ernie Chung: "How will Operation Takeback play out?"
General Alex MacTavish: "Simple. We try to take back the Carolinas. Taking back the Carolinas will give us control over all the ports along the eastern seaboard and allow us to move troops into Virginia and easily take DC back."
Captain James MacPherson: "That sounds good in theory but it won't work because the Confederates have been training for this war since before they were born. They know what we're going to do and how to counter it."
General Alex MacTavish: "But we know how to trick them. That's why we've come up with Operation Takeback. First, we'll send out a message to the Confederates telling them we're sending reinforcements to their front lines. Then, when the Confederates are busy preparing for the new attack on the front lines, we'll launch our own surprise attack on their rear lines."
Sergeant Mike MacDowell: "So you're saying we'll just confuse the enemy? Is that really enough to win this war?"
General Alex MacTavish: "Yes, Sergeant, it is. But if we want to be successful in Operation Takeback, we need more men. More men means more casualties. And that's where you guys come in. You're going to be part of Operation Takeback."
Sergeant Mike MacDowell: "Us?! What are we supposed to do?"
General Alex MacTavish: "You're going to be snipers. Snipers are the best way to sneak around undetected. Your job is to kill as many Confederate soldiers as possible. It's also your responsibility to make sure the Confederates don't figure out who you are or what you're doing. If they do, you're dead meat..."
