I'm thinking on them, the mantis I already have an idea for, the dragon fly I'm letting the wings baffle me. Would they get in the way of carrying them? I'm gonna work on it, any thoughts are always welcome. And I attempt to give credit to anyone who comes up with a new idea.

Actually, on the dragonfly's wings, you could double it as a pendant or broach, and some types of glue when you drizzle them carefully over latticework make really nice... um... translucent surface things. Sorry, haven't slept in three days. But you get what I'm saying, right?

If you kept that steampunk approach, you could probably do the glue on like fancy clock hands, or a couple itty bitty gears. . . bugger, I gotta try this now.
Heh, yeah, sleep is healthy, but so is making sure your simulation project is rendered and turned in.
