This is a commission forHere we have Ruby Rose from RWBY, along with her Crystal Grimm Velociraptor: Night Raptor
When the commissioner mentioned the concept of a Grimm whose bone armor is instead made of crystal I thought it was a neat idea.

It is a great job, the game of colors is quite nice, as well as the reflections of the crystals. the concept of the Crystal Grimm is quite interesting ... appeared in some fanfic already? or is the idea being debuted in this illustration?

It was a bit of a challenge to handle the colors, since most of the image is red and black and I didn't want everything to blend together. I had to play with different hues of red and with the lighting. It makes me happy when people notice.
As far as I know the commissioner came up with the concept for one of his fanfics, but I'm not sure if the chapter featuring it has already been written.
