Original title, eh? I can't decide what to call this guy, but he's basically this fencer that I keep drawing in different incarnations. He's the only original character I've drawn more than one picture of. I tried to capture some movement in this picture. The idea is that he's sort of spinning and falling backwards at the same time. I realize the point of view is strange, but I like it. I especially like the way his rapier turned out.Related content

Is that hat a particular type? Because recently I had gone back and looked through my older characters (from RPing) and he looks like one of my more under-used guys should... as far as clothes go, leastways.

Like... the style? I dunno how to describe it; I'd think that each shape of hat's got its own name... like a fedora, bowler, fezz, etc; according to wikipedia this would be a type of cowboy hat, but that description just isn't enough to satisfy me...

Oh, you mean the hat. You didn't specify that in your earlier comment. Anyhow, I'd say it's probably a "cavalier" style hat, without one of the sides turned up. It could also be called a sort of "gaucho" hat.

it was an interesting point of view is right, I can picture him warning someone who came from the side to "stay back or else".

Yeah...he sort of ended up in something of a bad anime pose, which was not my intention. I really wanted him to look more off-balance. Oh well, mayhaps I'll re-draw this eventually.
